Excavation of bronze age burials in the Bavarian Village Ilmendorf in Germany in the year 2011. Here you can see the first day, dredging the surface humus layer.
Project planning and managing sub-domains of projects in heritage conservation are without question a crucial function of a conservator. I could gain experience in project planning in the last years during excavations, where I managed the field conservation laboratory.
I could set up a conservation lab with my equipment in the office building next to the field.
In the field school I could teach students how to deal with fragile objects on the field and recover them in a bloc for processing in the conservation lab.
Teaching students how to make a bloc recovery on-site.
